The carbonator is designed for the continuous addition of carbon dioxide (CO₂) to carbonated beverages. The goal is a consistently defined CO₂ content as a clear quality indicator – stable in the process and reproducible in the result.

 This is how the CO₂ supply works
 
 
 
 The Carbonator uses a specifically designed vortex-Venturi injector for CO₂ injection.
 
 
 CO₂ is introduced directly into the product stream in a large number of very small bubbles.
 
 
 Due to high pressure and turbulent flow , the CO₂ dissolves completely and homogeneously in a short time.
 
 

 
 Pressure control & process control
 
 
 
 At the end of the solution path is a control valve that keeps the system pressure constantly above the saturation pressure .
 
 
 Flow rates and CO₂ levels are constantly monitored and automatically adjusted.
 
 
 For this purpose, the system is equipped with highly accurate flow meters and a CARBOTEC sensor from Centec.
 
 

 
 Hygiene & Cleaning
 The carbonator is hygienically designed and integrated into the CIP cleaning cycle of the main product line.
