How the system is structured
1) Filtration of suspended solids
- Sand and multimedia filters remove suspended solids such as silt and organic components.
2) Removal of iron and manganese (if necessary)
- Iron and manganese are removed by oxidation and subsequent filtration in the de-ironizer .
3) Protection of downstream components & taste (depending on water)
- Activated carbon filters improve the taste and protect downstream components.
4) Disinfection (depending on the hygiene concept)
- The water can be disinfected with UV light , ozone or chlorine to safely kill bacteria and microorganisms .
