For pure steam generation, the feedwater enters a shell-and-tube heat exchanger with an expansion chamber above it. In the shell-and-tube heat exchanger, the pretreated water is heated, generating steam. The tubes of the heat exchanger are connected to the expansion chamber, which serves as a separation column. To produce pyrogen-free steam, the chamber is equipped with a demistor. After entering the expansion chamber, the steam continues upwards in the column. Due to gravity and the specific column design, unvaporized water droplets fall back to the bottom of the chamber, where they are separated from the steam. Since these droplets can contain impurities such as endotoxins, it is crucial that they are not carried further by the steam. The conductivity of the pure steam condensate can be monitored as an important quality indicator. If required, the pure steam generator can be expanded into a multi-stage distillation system by adding further columns. This enables the combined, simultaneous production of pure water and pure steam.

  • Generation of sterile, pyrogen-free steam
  • Expansion to a multi-stage distillation system is possible
  • Distribution of pure steam for SIP applications on demand
  • Customized modular design with standard PLC
  • Frame-mounted for easy installation and commissioning

PureSteam - Pure Steam Generator

Pure steam is used for sterilizing tanks, pipelines, and filling machines. The PureSteam pure steam generator produces sterile, pyrogen-free steam, ideally suited for SIP (Sterilization-in-Place). The system can also be designed to produce pure steam for direct injection into the product.
