PureSteam - Pure Steam Generator
Pure steam is used for sterilizing tanks, pipelines, and filling machines. The PureSteam pure steam generator produces sterile , pyrogen-free steam , ideally suited for SIP ( Sterilization-in-Place ). Depending on requirements, the system can also be designed to generate pure steam for direct injection into the product.
Application
Pure steam for sterilizing:
- Tanks
- Pipelines
- bottling machines
How Puresteam generates pure steam
For pure steam generation, the feedwater enters a tube bundle heat exchanger with an expansion chamber above it:
- In the tube bundle heat exchanger, the pretreated water is heated and steam is generated.
- The tubes of the heat exchanger are connected to the expansion chamber – this serves as a separation column .
- The chamber is equipped with a demistor to produce pyrogen-free vapor.
- After entering the expansion chamber, the steam continues to move upwards in the column.
- Due to gravity and the special column design, unevaporated water droplets fall back into the lower part of the chamber and are separated from the vapor.
- Since droplets can contain impurities such as endotoxins , this droplet separation is crucial to prevent them from being carried along.
Quality control (optional)
- The conductivity of the pure steam condensate can optionally be monitored as an important quality characteristic.
Expandability (depending on requirements)
- If necessary, PureSteam can be expanded into a multi-stage distillation system by adding additional columns.
- This makes the combined simultaneous production of ultrapure water and ultrapure steam possible.
- A pure steam distribution system for SIP applications is available upon request.
