Loop distribution station
The loop distribution station is the central transfer module in the ultrapure water or WFI distribution circuit . It connects the main loop to multiple draw-off points and ensures that ultrapure water or WFI is always available under defined and hygienic conditions .
What is the purpose of the distribution station?
The distribution station supplies several consumption points , for example:
- Acceptance points
- Process plants
- Laboratory equipment
At the same time, it ensures controlled recirculation into the main loop – for constant circulation and stable product quality .
System logic in a loop
- The main loop and the pickup points are cleanly connected via the distribution station.
- The medium is continuously returned to the main loop via a return line .
- Temperature , flow rate and pressure are kept constant.
- Stagnation and microbiological growth are thus specifically avoided.

The loop distribution station is designed for hygienic applications :
- Pipes and fittings made of electropolished stainless steel AISI 316L
- Dead-space-free design
- CIP/SIP capable for validatable cleaning (depending on the overall concept)
Process control (automated monitoring)
Valves, sensors, and measuring points are integrated into the automation system . The following are continuously monitored:
- temperature
- conductivity
- Pressure
- Flow velocity
Additionally, the automated control system supports (depending on the version):
- Trend recording
- Alarm management
- Data recording
