RHOTEC EVAP VZ
Hot Wort Density, Extract and Evaporation Rate Online
RHOTEC EVAP VZ continuously measures hot wort density with high accuracy. Using a polynomial specific to the liquid, the sensor determines concentration in °Plato or percent extract.
Measuring Principle
Density measurement is based on the oscillating U-tube principle. Continuous measurement of the increase in concentration also determines the evaporation rate. This allows wort boiling to be controlled according to the required total evaporation.
Applications
- Hot Wort
- Brewhouse
- Extract
- °Plato
- Total Evaporation
- Wort Boiling
- Brewhouse Yield
- Process Control
Concentration determination provides the basis for online evaporation measurement and is preferable to volumetric measurement.
