The Yeast Recycler utilizes proven cross-flow technology with robust ceramic membranes for beer recovery. Its modular design is suitable for breweries of all sizes. The recovered filtrate is yeast-free and absorbs minimal oxygen. Up to 5% of the recovered beer can be reintroduced into the brewing process without negatively impacting the quality of the finished product. Adding small amounts of water to the waste yeast optimizes beer recovery through a washout effect (diafiltration). The advantage of diafiltration is an increased recovery rate. The O2 content can be monitored using highly accurate optical OXYTRANS sensors from Centec. Centec has decades of experience in developing and manufacturing its own precision instruments for O2 control. The Yeast Recycler is highly standardized, resulting in low acquisition costs, a short amortization period, and rapid return on investment. Furthermore, it can be easily expanded by adding other Centec systems, such as those for water deaeration and blending.

Yeast Recycler - Recovering beer from yeast
The Yeast Recycler is used to recover beer from waste or surplus yeast. Beer recovery allows the brewery to save wastewater and obtain two valuable products: beer and yeast. While the beer can be returned to the brewing process, the yeast can be sold as animal feed or a dietary supplement.
