FILTEC AC - Activated Carbon Filtration
FILTEC AC systems are specifically designed for the requirements of beverage production. They remove free chlorine, improve or eliminate odor and color, reduce organic substances (e.g., humic acids, TOC) as well as anthropogenic contaminants such as sweeteners, pesticides, or drug residues. Furthermore, they lower disinfection byproducts such as trihalomethanes (THMs) and chloramines.
The filters are made of hygienic 304L or 316L stainless steel and are suitable for hot water or steam sanitization. FILTEC AC is available in versions with internal or external backflushing and can be operated manually or automatically.
Thanks to high-quality acid-washed activated carbon and optimized flow design, a defined "Empty Bed Contact Time (EBCT)" is achieved, ensuring maximum adsorption performance. With at least 60 nozzles per square meter and a backwash chamber of at least 25%, the systems offer efficient cleaning with minimal water loss.
FILTEC AC complies with international standards for beverage water treatment and can be flexibly adapted to customer-specific requirements and levels of automation.Key points:
- High adsorption capacity thanks to acid-washed activated carbon
- Hygienic stainless steel design (304L / 316L)
- Hot water or steam sanitization possible
- Minimal flushing losses thanks to efficient backwashing technology
- Flexible and adaptable – manual or automated
Application:
FILTEC AC activated carbon filters are used in beverage production to ensure consistently high product water quality. They provide taste-neutral, clean water and protect downstream processes and system components.
