Craftline
Centec offers a selection of cost-effective processing systems specifically designed for craft breweries. These systems are typically used for capacities up to 100 hl/h. They feature a lower level of automation and optional, high-precision sensor technology. Centec's Craft Line is easy to implement and configure.
Craft DeGas-Cold
For treatment in the column deaeration system, the water is distributed in the upper part of the column. The column contains densely packed, thin stainless steel plates arranged so that the water takes multiple paths as it flows downwards. This maximizes the exchange surface area and contact time between the water and the stripping gas (CO2 or N2). The stripping gas is fed into the bottom of the column and rises countercurrently to the water. The large partial pressure difference of O2 drives the oxygen from the water into the gas phase. This fundamental scientific principle is described by Henry's Law. At the top of the column, the removed oxygen leaves the system as a gas along with the undissolved CO2 or N2. To increase efficiency and prevent carbonation or nitrogenation of the water, the system can optionally be operated under vacuum and without stripping gas. This reduces investment and operating costs. The O2 content of the deaerated water can also be continuously monitored as an option. For this purpose, the system is equipped with a highly accurate optical OXYTRANS sensor from Centec.
Craft Word Aerator
The Craft Wort Aerator is designed for manual operation. Based on optional, high-precision oxygen and flow measurement, the amount of O2 supplied can be precisely adjusted to the measured wort flow. For O2 injection, the Wort Aerator features a specifically designed vortex-Venturi injector that doses oxygen directly into the product stream in a very large number of very small bubbles. Due to the pressure and turbulent flow, the oxygen dissolves completely and absolutely homogeneously in a very short time. A control valve can be located at the end of the optional dissolution section to maintain constant pressure in the system and above the saturation pressure. The Wort Aerator can be equipped with a sterile air filter system to disinfect the supplied gas.
Craft Blender
The Craft Blender is used to blend high-gravity beer with degassed water or to mix beer with syrup. When this is done directly before the filler, the brewery's flexibility is significantly increased. Different beers or beer-based mixed drinks can be produced from the same base beer. This allows the brewery to react quickly to changing market demands. Optionally, the flow rates and the original gravity and alcohol content can be continuously monitored and adjusted via a ratio control system. For this purpose, the system is equipped with high-precision flow meters and in-line sensors from Centec. Also available as an option is a vortex-venturi injector for combined CO2 injection into the product.
Craft Carbonator
For CO2 supply, the Craft Carbonator features a specifically designed vortex-Venturi injector that feeds a large number of tiny bubbles of carbon dioxide directly into the product stream. Due to the high pressure and turbulent flow, the CO2 dissolves completely and homogeneously in a very short time. A control valve is located at the end of the optional dissolution section. This valve maintains a constant pressure in the system, above the saturation pressure. Flow rates and CO2 concentration are continuously monitored and automatically adjusted during the process (optional). For this purpose, the system can be equipped with high-precision flow meters and a CARBOTEC sensor from Centec.
